Regenerating Roots Through Tending the Earth, Blending the Leaves, & Sharing the Tea!
Blending & Tending
For over two decades, Stephanie Layne has worked the soil and studies plants as an herbalist and horticulturist. This has instilled both a deep reverence for tending the land organically and for sharing the traditions of her family's Appalachian roots. It is her passion for history, research, and providing access to true, pure natural wellness that keeps her up to her elbows in dirt & herbs.
Since, 2018, beautifully handcrafted teas and potent herbal remedies have been offered through Thistle Bee Tea Co. Traditionally, skin and body care options were offered here as well but are now available through The Root & The Moon, our. small batch, nutrient-rich botanicals for skin & body care.
Sharing the Tea
Plants have an incredible way of connecting people to others. Last year, something kept percolating in Stephanie's thoughts. How could she marry both herbal education, a flavorful experience, and fun? She pondered the ritual of sharing a pot of tea with friends and how it creates a deeper connection to the plants and to the people. And with that, our Tea Party offering was born! Our tea parties and educational gatherings are designed to bring people and plants together in celebration of tradition, learning, and community.

Out amongst fields of wheat and corn, nestled in a mid-1800s farmhouse, Thistle Bee Tea Co. has taken root. We've been blending magic and medicinal herbs since 2018. Each leaf, flower, and root is either lovingly tended in our gardens, where the earth hums with memory and life, or carefully researched and hand-selected by Stephanie.
